Why does David Crisp describe wanting to buy a motorcycle as a downside (Letters, DW 5 January)? Surely he must have realised by now that it is the only sensible way of commuting in our wonderful metropolis? Indeed, the average bike speed is somewhere in the region of 20-25mph (but don’t tell car drivers).
On a more general note, I agree that the Channel 4 Equinox programme on Seymour Powell was very good, and several non-designer friends and acquaintances remarked favourably on it too. It highlighted the thought behind the design process in a positive way. The programme on the Boeing 777 was also excellent. Let’s hope we may be able to see more in this vein.
