Redhouse Lane handles memorial work

The Department for Education and Employment is introducing the first Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January 2001 – the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. London design group Redhouse Lane created the educational packs and identity. The group’s creative director Raf Amato says it designed a candle flame for the identity because it is a worldwide symbol of remembrance. The memorial day also aims to commemorate other genocides, such as those in Bosnia and Rwanda.
