The inevitable flood of books reviewing the 20th century has thrown up a variety of titles.
But Images of the Century, by London design group Davenport Associates, is unusual. The 256-page book contains nothing but a few words at the bottom of each page.
Managing director Peter Davenport says: ‘Although it’s meant to be witty – the picture book that doesn’t have or need pictures – it’s also a serious undertaking on which I’ve been working for some time.’
