Selfridges appoints new furniture buyer

Selfridges has appointed Gregorio Cappa as furniture buyer. Formerly Habitat’s head of furniture design, Cappa follows in the footsteps of Vittorio Radice, who joined Selfridges from Habitat last year as managing director.

Cappa, who previously worked with Italian manufacturer Cappellini, will be responsible for buying both furniture and lighting to be sold within the store.

Laure de Guardemaris and Massimiliano Raggi now have responsibility for furniture design at Habitat, working with freelance designers including Simon Pengelly. An announcement on Cappa’s replacement will be made soon, says a Habitat spokesman.
