Ten candidates are competing for five vacancies on the Design Business Association’s board of directors.
DBA chairman Jonathan Sands – half-way through his two-year chairmanship – is known to be keen to see at least one woman voted on to what has recently been an all-male board.
The nominees are: BIB Design Consultants managing director Lin Roworth-Stokes; Basten Greenhill Andrews managing director Tim Greenhill; Design in Action managing director Barry Salter; M&K Design Instore chairman Paul King; PSD Associates principal and creative director Paul Stead; Hollington Associates senior associate Jane Rawson; Fitch director Bill Sermon; Pearlfisher planning and strategic business director Clare Anderson; Din Associates graphics division design director Valerie Wickes; and Adam Rawls Associates managing director Adam Rawls.
“Each DBA member will be receiving the ballot papers over the next few weeks,” says DBA events co-ordinator Alice Shelley.
The election results will be announced at the association’s annual general meeting, scheduled for 3 October.
