Law firm gets heritage logo

Newly merged solicitors Vizards Staples & Bannisters is launching a new corporate identity by Arnatt Abrey Bennett, which previously worked for Bannisters.

The London insurance litigator will now use a contemporary image of original founder William Vizard on its logo. Vizard dates back 200 years to the reign of his client Queen Caroline.

Arnatt Abrey Bennett commissioned a redrawn Vizard, replacing a poor copy based on a photograph of a painting in the National Portrait Gallery.

“We used four or five historical references to have Vizard redrawn. We wanted to have him looking to the right to give a sense of being forward-looking to the eye,” says Bennett.

The identity will be applied to environmental signage, a website, departmental brochures and magnetic directory cards.
