Cambridge looks to the future

Product research and design group Cambridge Consultants has unveiled two concept designs that exploit futuristic bluetooth technology, enabling wire-free mobile communication.

The first, t`he e-mail pen, would turn handwritten words into digital data, which would then be e-mailed via a “pod” linked to a telephone. E-mails could be sent from anywhere in the world.

A second design, the bluetooth car key, would communicate remotely with your vehicle and offer features such as secure entry and remote activation via fingerprint recognition. “Products such as these could be launched in a year’s time,” says Donna Wilson, product definition group leader at Cambridge Consultants.
