New brands are the miracle cure for everything nowadays, just ask Tayburn chief executive Erick Davidson. His consultancy designed a new identity for Scottish football club Hibernian in August, reintroducing the controversial harp to its badge that had been dropped from 60 years previously, in the naive hope it would break the club’s losing curse. The Hibs are now second in the league, ahead of Rangers and thrashed arch- rivals Heart of Midlothian 6:2 last week – a scoreline uncannily similar to Tayburn’s 662 0662 telephone number. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
