Wildlife photo wins award for Shah

UK photographer Manoj Shah has won the BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2000 prize for his image of a female orang-utan clasping her infant. The photograph was taken in Sumatra, Indonesia. Shah’s photograph takes centre stage at the Natural History Museum’s exhibition, designed by London design consultancy Line Blue. Organised by the BBC Wildlife Magazine, the exhibition will display all 120 winning and commended photographs from the 2000 competition until February 2001.
