Zeta Bar makes the switch to Into Lighting scheme

London’s Zeta Bar at the London Hilton on Park Lane is set to re-open tonight, after a lighting refurbishment. Into Lighting was sought out for the bar’s mini face-lift to maintain the polished Zen-inspired design, which is the ethos behind the hotel’s bar.

Into director Darren Orrow says the design group was keen to ‘retain the essence of the original famous lighting scheme of backlit panels. Zeta wants the new lighting to complement the original – to keep it a design classic, but bring it up-to-date with an element of what Zeta is all about.’

As well as lighting, the refurbishment includes new furniture, re-painting and a new sound system which John Darling, in-house project manager and bar general manager, is overseeing.

The project was put together on a strict budget. Orrow says, ‘The need for a general image update is due to competition from other London bars. The core design features backlit luminous panels. The decor and lights had to work with themes of nature, calm, stone, water and sunlight. This was achieved by refurbishing the bespoke fittings.’

Zeta will open tonight for the Mobo awards party.
