Gordon wins Glasgow 1999 Medal

This year’s Glasgow 1999 Medal has been won by interior design graduate Stuart Gordon, for his proposals to redevelop the Cardross Seminary building into a children’s hospice.

Judges praised his ‘strong and poetic interventions’, saying he ‘created spaces that deal with the site and the social fabric in a sensitive way’.

Gordon was one of ten young designers to be shortlisted for the medal. Judges made special mention of Glasgow School of Art visual communication graduate Mike Montgomery and Victoria Lemon, a jewellery graduate of Cardonald College.
