Design: Jasper Jacob Associates
Jasper Jacob Associates made a contemporary intervention to the 1901 Horniman Museum in the form of its design of the new African Worlds exhibition. A central, ramped bridge crosses the centre of the space with art exhibits housed in large, double-sided sculptural cases interspersed with tall structures for open display and interactives. The influence of Africa on other cultures is dealt with around the gallery perimeter.
