Dutch venture into DEGW

Building design group DEGW has been bought by Dutch management group Twijnstra Gudde to form an independent professional services group with a combined turnover of more than 42m.

The deal includes an exchange of shares, with the intention that there should be wide share ownership in TG by DEGW, says DEGW chairman Frank Duffy.

The new venture has joint staff of more than 650 and will offer advice, design, programme and project management. “DEGW will maintain its identity and way of working for as long as possible,” Duffy adds.

The two companies had already worked together for five years when the deal was made.
