INDEPENDENT CINEMA group Oasis Cinemas is refurbishing the Ritzy in Brixton, South London, as a five-screen venue. Architect DMWR is designing the scheme and Oasis is casting for a graphic designer.
An Oasis spokeswoman says the Ritzy will be “the UK’s first five-screen art-house cinema”. The company is seeking a graphic designer to create a launch campaign of literature and posters.
The Edwardian cinema, which is expected to open in September, is being remodelled with a blend of restoration and contemporary design, adds the spokeswoman.
