CSD medal for Ken Grange

Ken Grange, the prominent product designer and Pentagram founding partner, was yesterday due to receive the Chartered Society of Designers’ 1996 medal for his lifetime’s achievement in design.

The medal was being presented to Grange last night by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh at the CSD’s Minerva Dinner. Grange says he feels “a great deal of pride” about receiving the award. “It’s a nice treat to be honoured by one’s peers. I’m thrilled,” he adds.

Grange’s designs range from the InterCity 125 train in the late 1960s to the Kenwood Chef and the Protector wet shave razor for Wilkinson Sword.
