Cortecs renamed by Luxon Carrà

Luxon Carrà has created a new name and identity for a healthcare and diagnostics company. Cortecs is now known as Provalis.

The consultancy’s brief was to position the company as being focused on the development and marketing of high performance products.

The Latin-based name Provalis, combined with a strong visual symbol, is meant to give the company a coherent image with which its audience can associate excellence.

Luxon Carrà managing director David Rowson says: “Provalis provided us with the challenge of developing a simple and memorable identity for a company with several core competencies, in a highly technical field, in the tight frame of no more than five weeks.”

The name is compound of three words pro, valeo and is, which describe speed and dynamism, health and strength, and systems.

The identity will be used on all corporate applications including stationery and signage. The name will appear as an endorsement on individual product packaging.
