Ladbrokes is understood to be close to appointing a designer to develop an interactive TV channel for the Sky-backed Open platform.
The bookmaker is believed to be in talks with a number of consultancies developing interactive TV channels, and to have invited several to pitch. An appointment is expected soon. Ladbrokes has already started developing betting services online. A spokesman for Ladbrokes denies the move.
