PMP helps Methodists to lighten up

Interior design specialist and architect PMP has created both interiors and exteriors for a new Methodist Church at Fulham Broadway in West London.

The site, which will start being built next May, features a glass frontage framed by a free-standing curved portico. Another feature will be that the 140-seat worship area and altar will be visible from the street. This will enable passers by to see inside the church and will also provide more natural light.

PMP managing director Derek Price says: “It is always interesting to work on varied projects. Designing a religious centre has given us an opportunity to demonstrate our skills. We are particularly pleased that the trustees gave us a free reign within the budget which has given us the scope to design a landmark building within a busy urban context.”
