Stephen Gill wins award with Soho picture

Stephen Gill has won this year’s London Photograph of the Year Award, sponsored by Derwent Valley Holdings. The competition theme, The Changing Face of Soho, challenged entrants to find an image that captures Soho’s vibrant street life. Gill, a self-taught freelance photographer, won the first prize of £3000 for his photographs of Frith Street and retailer Agent Provocateur. The second prize of £1500 went to John Robinson and Julia Franklin. Donan Burt collected the £500 third prize.
