Halifax picks below-the-line four

Halifax has created a roster of four design consultancies to work on its below-the-line activities.

Leeds-based State of the Art, which has worked with Halifax for six years, is included on the roster, but Halifax declines to name the others.

The rostered consultancies have been selected from around 150 “design suppliers” that have worked with the plc. All four have complementary skill sets and all will know where they fit into the jigsaw, says a Halifax spokesman.

“We want to formalise the relationships with our suppliers and improve the value for money we are getting,” says the spokesman, “forming a creative synergy between the four and making the process easier to manage.”

Each consultancy will be selected for work on a job-by-job basis. State of the Art is likely to feature in developing a point-of-sale look for branch promotions.

Louise Harrison, founder and managing director of State of the Art, says she is pleased to get a formal commitment. “In the past we’ve worked on a project by project basis. Now we’re integrated into the bigger picture we can provide Halifax with a better quality of service,” she explains.
