The sky’s the limit for Kinneir Dufort

Bristol product design group Kinneir Dufort has decided not to move offices in order to house its rapidly expanding workforce, and is instead going to raise the roof at its existing site – a city-centre building which was formerly a Victorian sugar refinery.

‘We are desperate for space but reluctant to relocate,’ says Kinneir Dufort managing director Jim Orkney. ‘Up is the only way.’

The building work has other advantages. A temporary roof has kept the torrential rain at bay, and a building site 40ft in the air has removed at least 20 builders and their quips from the streets of Bristol.
