Therefore seeks design staff on interactive side

London product design group Therefore is looking to expand its newly-launching interactive division, with “broadminded, creative” full-time and freelance interactive digital designers.

Therefore Interactive has been set up to formalise the growing amount of screen design work that the design group is doing, says Therefore director Jim Fullalove. “Therefore Interactive does not transform us into a Web design company, but reflects our commitment to bridging the gap between interactive and product design,” he adds.

The new division is being led by creative director Alison Chappell, who was previously working for Kent-based digital media group Netsite. She says Therefore Interactive aims to grow steadily and will harness the expertise of external consultants. “We will continue to expand our list of ergonomics specialists, because the usability side of the business is extremely important,” she says.

“There are so many Internet design start-up companies,” she adds. “Therefore aims to differentiate itself by its existing product design knowledge.”

She says Therefore Interactive will enable the company to “keep on top of” the fast-moving digital sector. Both the interactive and product design divisions intend to feed each other, adds Fullalove.
