E3 has designed a gallant little app to support the Extraordinary Heroes exhibition at the Imperial War Museum.
Launching today, the Adventure Challenge Facebook app gives users the opportunity to test decision making skills and bravery in a series of ‘missions.’
Presumably to make it seem all the more real, Facebook friends’ pictures are extracted so the that your ‘team’ can be integrated into the game. Let’s hope nobody takes it too seriously.
The exhibition tells stories of 200 Victoria Cross and George Cross awards using touchscreen interactives, video montages, animated graphic novels and sound.
Head of brand and marketing at The Imperial War Museum, Penny Hamilton, says she hopes the app will ‘inspire people to visit the exhibition but also, by placing them in testing situations, help them engage with the realities of modern conflict and understand how, when faced with extreme situations, some people can do extraordinary things.’
The facebook app is available from today.
