Lewis Moberly distils identity for new Spanish wine

Lewis Moberly has created the identity for a new premium Spanish wine brand.

Launching in the UK this month, the Señorío de Arinzano wine labels have been designed to reflect the drink’s connection to the Chivite family’s 16th century estate in Spain, where it is made.

The consultancy has also created the first-ever identity for the estate, and creative director Mary Lewis says the inspiration for the wine design lies in the estate’s heritage and architecture.

The concept by Lewis Moberly is being applied to the wine labels, as well as to the estate and the winery’s stationery, with the possibility of developing a website in the future.

A variety of designs has been produced for each vintage in the range.

‘The bottles depict the architectural sketches by Pritzker Prize winner Rafael Moneo for the winery,’ says Lewis.

Lewis Moberly was appointed in September 2007 by Fernando Chivite without a pitch, on the back of designing the Chivite family logo ten years ago, says Lewis.
