COI reviews £5m strategic consultancy roster

The Central Office of Information is reviewing the roster of consultancies supporting its strategic consultancy division.

A spokesman confirms that the review will throw up opportunities for multidisciplinary groups encompassing strategy and branding.

The £5m internal communication and marketing and branding frameworks were established in January 2005 for use over a maximum of four years, but from January 2009, they will be replaced by three new frameworks covering internal communication; marketing, brand and strategy; and external engagement.

Consultancies will be selected through a procurement process based on expertise, experience, creative, pricing structure and financial soundness.

The new frameworks will allow groups to compete for Government and public-sector work without going through a lengthy procurement process for every contract, according to a COI statement.

The strategic consultancy division roster is separate to the COI’s design roster, which will not be reviewed until March 2009.

Those interested in applying for the frameworks should go to www.coibravosolution.com for further details.

The COI works on behalf of the Government and public sector to communicate issues that affect the lives of every citizen – from health and education to benefits, rights and welfare.

The COI strategic division offers advice at the early stages of projects to develop practical marketing strategies, before implementation begins.
